GOLD CREEK COUNTRY CLUB
The Gold Creek Country Club has been part of the Nicholls community since it opened in 1996. Designed by renowned golfer and course architect Bruce Devlin and offering some of the best facilities and greens in the country. The KGroup has owned the club since 2006 and have worked hard to keep it as an international standard championship course. The Gold Creek Country Club will continue to be a member of the community for a long time to come but change is needed to keep it operating at such a high standard.
THE KONSTANTINOU GROUP
The KGroup team are proud Canberrans. We are proud of our contributions to the community and have a long-standing history in the Gungahlin area, operating our business from Mitchell for over 30 years. Through our property developments, operations of Canberra International Sports and Aquatic Centre (CISAC) and the Club Lime network we have established lasting networks with our local community.
The KGroup is excited about this newest project, which provides us an opportunity to create something that will leave a positive legacy for the community of Nicholls and broader Gungahlin. We are taking our time to understand what our community wants and seek to establish a ten year plan to deliver something special that we can collectively be proud of.
As owners of the Gold Creek Country Club, we have worked hard to create a viable, high quality recreational facility. Membership at the club continues to be low and large golf courses are expensive to run and environmentally unsustainable. Like many golf courses across Canberra; to keep the club viable we have made the decision to develop part of the site. However, we have not determined what the site will look like and are looking to our local community to guide us. We want to hear from you what you would like the see on the site. We are interested in increasing connectivity to the Gold Creek village and building a community, not just houses.
‘This is the first time we have approached a development without a clear vision of what will work in the area. We are keen to preserve the open-space and the views of existing golf course neighbours; we want to provide better connection between Nicholls, Harcourt Hill and the Gold Creek village; we want to create a new urban village environment to complement the businesses in Gold Creek and we want to provide new housing choices for the people of Gungahlin. I am looking forward to the views of our community on what this new community might look like’.

To help facilitate this community conversation we have a dedicated community team. During Phase 1 of the conversation, they were out and about, hosting events, speaking to our community and ensuring that your views were heard.
